Everyone benefits from a life filled with music

I teach pupils from just 4 years old using fantastic resources tailored to busy little bodies that will soak up everything around them. From sitting on the floor exploring sound with bells & boomwhackers, to playing duets & composing those tiny fingers thrive in a fun & noisy environment where they are given every opportunity to excel.

Older pupils & adults learn with publishers such as Piano Pronto & Supersonics Piano which are producing quality materials that really catch their attention. Many are writing their own music and learning how to notate it for themselves before recording it or showing off to anyone who’ll listen. They love to play solo or pair up with friends (or family) to perform at our Summer Concerts and Christmas Parties. It is awesome to see them play with such confidence & hear the applause they’ve earned.

One-On-One Tailored Solution

Every pupil is an individual. Each one benefits from learning with someone who celebrates their successes and sees what their challenges might be. I teach a growing number of pupils who benefit from the one-on-one tailored tuition I offer where it is easy to be flexible and responsive to any additional needs they might have.

I am always innovating new ways to make learning fun and engaging for students to foster a joyful learning environment to help with teaching.

I believe it’s important to cater for different learning styles and try to incorporate that into my teaching as much as possible.

Making a racket since 1997

Tobias Music Tuition began in 1997 while I was studying at the RSAMD, now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I studied piano, flute and voice with education and graduated in 2002 with a BA Music Education. I live in Uddingston, have always lived locally and work from my home.

Teaching piano and music theory allows me to have the best of both worlds – be a mum and on call during the day while teaching in the evenings. It is an awful lot of fun and very rewarding. I am well aware that children have busy lives and take part in lots of activities each week but my focus is entirely on music education and what my pupils can achieve through their lessons, spending hours each week researching current materials and discussing recent trends in music education in worldwide piano teaching forums.
