Making a racket since 1997
Tobias Music Tuition began in 1997 while I was studying at the RSAMD, now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I studied piano, flute and voice with education and graduated in 2002 with a BA Music Education. I live in Uddingston, have always lived locally and work from my home.
Teaching piano and music theory allows me to have the best of both worlds – be a mum and on call during the day while teaching in the evenings. It is an awful lot of fun and very rewarding. I am well aware that children have busy lives and take part in lots of activities each week but my focus is entirely on music education and what my pupils can achieve through their lessons, spending hours each week researching current materials and discussing recent trends in music education in worldwide piano teaching forums.

I attended Uddingston Grammar School (my teachers are still in the music department) and spent many hours playing in bands, singing in choirs and practising my fingers off as part of the RSNO Junior Chorus, the school orchestra, band and choir and the Lanarkshire Youth Orchestra’s Concert Band. I traveled the country for concerts and competitions and had a fantastic experience with musicians my own age, many of whom I keep in touch with.
